Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Grossly mutilated primary first molars, requiring extraction or those that cannot be treated with endodontic treatment in both upper and lower arch. 2. Sound and healthy primary second molar.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Very young children below 3 years and children above 8 years old are excluded. 2. Grossly decayed teeth adjacent to the edentulous space. 3. Absence of teeth on mesial or distal side of the teeth to be extracted. 4. Hypoplastic abnormalities on the abutment teeth
