Intervention1: magnesium sulfate as adjuvant to local anaesthetic: 500mg magnesium sulfate added to 20 ml of 0.25% bupivacaine for local infiltration anaesthesia injected for about 2 minutes anaesthes

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 18-60 year old patients of either gender undergoing lumbar spine surgery under general anaesthesia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: age beow 18 and above 60 years known drug allergy severe systemic illness diabetics on opioid or non opioid medications coagulopathy
