Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Patients with Symphysis and Parasymphysis fractures, 2) Patients age between 18-70 years, 3) Patient consenting to be part of the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1)Pathological fracture, comminuted fracture, 2) Patients who are not willing for follow-up for a period of 1 month.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
1)Occlusion, 2)Step deformity by palpation 1 week (follow-up visit) after surgery, 3)Ease of manipulation (during IntraOP), 4)Time taken for reduction (in minutes), 5)Injury to root and tooth by vitality testing on 1 week after surgery, 6)Paraesthesia assessment by fine touch method, 7)Perceptions of oral surgeons using the technique Timepoint: baseline and 1 week after surgery

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
following components will be assessed by scale (visual analogue scale) Operating Posture, Visibility of the fractured segments, Fatigue during the process of reduction of fractures, Accessibility to the fractured segments, Grasp or stability of the fractured segments, Force required during the fracture reduction, Retraction of the soft tissues, Difficulty in the fracture reduction, Overall rating of the method Timepoint: post op
