Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients admitted in the Department of Medicine with a suspected bacterial infection receiving antibiotic therapy
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Hemodynamic instability persisting for more than 48 hours Patients who continue to worsen after 72 hours of initial antibiotic therapy Patients shifted to ICU/HDU Presence of an abscess Neutropenic patients/ or receiving steroids/ immunosuppressive agents/ PLHA/ hematological malignancy Melioidosis, scrub typhus, Typhoid fever Bacterial meningitis, septic arthritis, Infective endocarditis Hospital acquired infection (fever starting 48 hours after hospitalisation) including CRBSI Patients who are discharged within 5 days of hospitalisation
