Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Age � 18 Years Patients requiring mechanical ventilation > 48 hours
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Age Patient who did not require mechanical ventilation Patients who were not requiring intubation for > 48 hours Patients who died within 48 hours of intubation Patients who had any contraindications to mini-BAL Patients with burns over chest, chest dressings causing hinderance to do ultrasonography Pregnant patients
