Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patient age above 65 years posted for elective surgery who are ASA grade 1,2,3

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patient lacking capacity to consent 2. Conditions causing severe pain at bilateral upper thigh such as burns,soft tissue or bony injuries which preclude measurement by ultrasound
