Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Individuals between the age of 16 to 70 years of either sex without any discrimination of cast and religion. 2. Individuals suitable for Shodhana (Virechana) Procedure. 3. Individuals with blood sugar fasting 126mg/dl to 200mg/dl and (or) post prandial plasma glucose level 200mg/dl to 275mg/dl 4. Probably all such cases would be newly diagnoses cases of diabetes. 5. Those who will sign the written informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Known case of Insulin Depended Diabetes Mellitus (IDDM). 2. Individuals suffering from diseases like cancer, tuberculosis, sever cardiovascular diseases are other systemic diseases. 3. Individuals suffering from other endocrinopathies like acromegaly, Cushingââ?¬•s syndrome. 4. Individuals with genetic syndromes like Downââ?¬•s syndrome, Klinefelterââ?¬•s syndrome, Turnerââ?¬•s syndrome. 5. Pregnant and lactating women. 6. Any other condition which can jeopardise the outcome of the study will be excluded.
