Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients of ASA(American society of anaesthesiologists) grade 1,planned for surgery under general anaesthesia
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Hypertensive patients Previous history of coronary artery disease History of arrhythmias, pacemakers Renal/hepatic dysfunction Chronic obstructive lung disease Patients allergic to dexmedetomidine and/or diltiazem Usage of beta blockers Emergency surgeries Full stomach patients Pregnant and paediatric patients
