Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Indian male runners. Athlete trained for not less than 6 months and 2-3 years of experience. History of Medial Tibial Stress Syndrome(MTSS). History of no Medial Tibial Stress Syndrome(MTSS)..

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Any musculoskeletal pathology affecting their lower leg in the last six months. History of any lower limb fracture in the last six months Any surgery in the lower limb in the last 6 months

Primary

MeasureTime frame
1)To identify the potential physical, psychological, anthropometric,morphological and functional risk factors for Medial Tibial Stress Syndrome(MTSS) in Indian runners.Timepoint: Total duration of study is 6 months. In the first 4 months, 80 athletes will be assessed to determine the risk factors associated with Medial Tibial Stress Injury.

MeasureTime frame
1)To develop an equation for prediction of Medial Tibial Stress Syndrome(MTSS). 2) To identify and compare the potential physical, psychological, anthropometric,morphological and functional risk factors for Medial Tibial Stress in previously injured and uninjured . 3)Translation and cross cultural adaptation of Hindi version of lower extremity functional scale among Indian population.Timepoint: In 2 months, statistical analysis will be done, based on which equation will be derived to predict the risk of Medial Tibial Stress Syndrome.
