Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To study any difference in BIS values at equi-MAC values of two inhalational agents. Timepoint: After induction, either of two inhalational agents (desflurane /sevoflurane) will be administered to achieve 1 MAC for 15 minutes duration to allow for equilibrium between alveoli, blood and brain. After this, BIS values will be measured at an interval of 1 minute for further 30 minutes duration

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To determine the change in Heart rate and MAP with the two inhalation agents Timepoint: After induction, either of two inhalational agents (desflurane /sevoflurane) will be administered to achieve 1 MAC for 15 minutes duration to allow for equilibrium between alveoli, blood and brain. After this, heart Rate and Blood pressure (MAP) values will be measured at an interval of 1 minute for further 30 minutes duration
