Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Consenting psychiatric patients between 18-65 years of age, with a clinical diagnosis of schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder based on ICD 10 criteria and Family members/caregivers available for assessment.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patientââ?¬•s not having access to a mobile phone Those admitted via magistrate order with no relatives. People with alcohol dependence syndrome with an AUDIT score of >20 Patient likely to move out of state or change treatment providers during the study period

2. Brief psychiatric rating scale (BPRS scale) - to assess the severity of symptoms in the person with schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder 3. Drug Attitude Inventory (DAI - 10) - to assess patientââ?¬â?¢s perception and experiences of treatment 4. Brief Adherence Rating Scale (BARS)- to assess level of adherence 5. G12 item of PANSS scale ââ?¬â?? to assess the patients illness insight 6. WHODAS 2.0 short version will be used to assess quality of life Timepoint: 1 month and 3 months
