Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: a) Pregnant females undergoing primary cesarean with following characteristics: 1. Singleton pregnancy 2. No prior history of lower abdominal surgery 3. BMI -18.5-24.9 Kg/m2

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Preoperative Hemoglobin 2. Thrombocytopenia 3. Deranged coagulation profile 4. Steroid / antibiotic therapy 5. Any pre-existing infections 6. Prolonged rupture of membrane ( > 18 hours) 7. Multiple gestation pregnancy 8. Subcutaneous fat thickness > 3cm 9. Obstructed labor 10. Medical co morbidities eg. Diabetes, hypertension, heart diseases etc
