Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Participants in the age group of 18â?? 60 years of both genders. 2.Unilateral Zygomaticomaxillary complex fracture involving the superolateral orbital rim 3. Participant willingness for inclusion in the study. 4. Participants coming within 2 weeks for open reduction and internal fixation of unilateral zygomaticomaxillary complex fracture involving superolateral rim

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Participants with systemic disease contraindicating general anesthesia. 2. Acute or chronic active conjunctival diseases. 3. Participants having pre existing para orbital laceration. 4. Previous paraorbital scarring around due to any traumatic or inflammatory cause. 5. Previous surgery in lower eyelid region involving inferior fornix. 6. Participants having preexisting eyelid margin anomaly.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate surgical and aesthetic outcomes of transconjunctival with lateral canthotomy and supraorbital eyebrow approach to access superolateral orbital rim in zygomaticomaxillary complex fractures with respect to ease of access and complications. Timepoint: Clinical outcomes will be evaluated post operatively at 24hrs, 1 week, 1 month, 3 months

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate intra-operative time required for access through transconjunctival with lateral canthotomy and supraorbital eyebrow approach to access superolateral orbital rim in zygomaticomaxillary complex fracture. Timepoint: Intra operative time : Time required for exposure of fracture site ie the time of incision placement till the completion of exposure will be calculated in minutes using stopwatch. ;To evaluate the incidence of complications with transconjunctival with lateral canthotomy and supraorbital eyebrow approach to access superolateral orbital rim in zygomaticomaxillary complex fracture.Timepoint: Incidence of complications will be evaluated at 24hrs, 1 week, 1 month and 3 months
