Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adult patients with ARDS (with paO2/FiO2 <300) requiring invasive mechanical ventilation will be include in this study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with cardiac diseases (left heart failure, right heart failure, left sided obstructive valvular lesions) will be excluded from this study

To compare the mean Global Lung Strain between survivors and non-survivors of ARDS patients at 28-daysTimepoint: 28-days after recruiting the patient into this study
