Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients who meet the criteria of alcohol dependence according to ICD 10, Classification of Mental and Behavioural Disorders, DCR; WHO, 1993 2. Clinical Institute Withdrawal Assessment of Alcohol Scale, Revised (CIWA-Ar) score of 3. Education: 5th grade and above 4. Duration of illness of 2 years or more. 5. Those who will give consent for the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Those who have a history of significant medical/neurological and chronic physical illness. 2. Those who have any other mental illness apart from mild to moderate depression (score of 3. Those who have any other substance use other than caffeine and nicotine. 4. Patients unwilling to participate in the study.
