Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: To be enrolled in the study, SUBJECTS Having a fair oral hygiene index at the time of inclusion. Age between 13 and 30 years No history of antibiotics, steroids, or NSAIDs in the past two months

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Presence of any local or systemic disease or immunosuppressant drug therapy. Use of antibiotics, steroids, or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) therapy within past two months or during the study Mentally handicapped subjects Subjects with poor manual dexterity Poor compliance subjects Using antibacterial mouth rinses Patients with a history of allergies to food dyes (especially Erythrosine FDC Red 3) Previous or current use of powered or manual orthodontic toothbrushes Smoking, tobacco products Pregnancy in female patients.

The objective of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of a new activated charcoal orthodontic toothbrush designed by PUREXA with a conventional orthodontic toothbrush will have better plaque control in patients undergoing fixed orthodontic treatment when compared to Conventional v cut orthodontic tooth brush. Timepoint: 1 month

The objective of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of a new activated charcoal orthodontic toothbrush designed by PUREXA with a conventional orthodontic toothbrush in controlling plaque in patients undergoing fixed orthodontic treatment using orthodontic plaque index as an indicator of oral hygiene.
