Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All patients undergoing cancer surgeries and requiring Noradrenaline, Adrenaline, Vasopressin, Dopamine, Dobutamine and/or Milrinone support postoperatively from May 2022 to November 2022 will be included.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients on vasopressors or Inotropes other than mentioned. (Phenylephrine)

MeasureTime frame
For all cancer patients requiring vasoactive-inotrope support postoperatively, VIS0 (VIS 30 minutes after shifting the patient to ICU/ Initial VIS if the patient is started on Vasoactive-Inotrope therapy in the ICU within 24 hours after surgery) and VISmax ( maximum VIS 24 hours post surgery) will be documented. The patients thus enrolled will be followed up for postoperative complications till discharge. The complications will be documented and graded according to Modified Clavien-Dindo Classification.Timepoint: For all cancer patients requiring vasoactive-inotrope support postoperatively, VIS0 (VIS 30 minutes after shifting the patient to ICU/ Initial VIS if the patient is started on Vasoactive-Inotrope therapy in the ICU within 24 hours after surgery) and VISmax ( maximum VIS 24 hours post surgery) will be documented. Comorbidities(Cardiac, Respiratory, Renal, Neurological, Haematological, Hepatic) 5. Need for Blood transfusion in first 24 hours post-surgery 6. Length of ICU stay 7.
