Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All neonates requiring endotracheal intubation

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Infants with facial dymorphism or craniofacial abnormalities 2. Infant with congenital malformation 3. Failure to obtain consent 4. Infant in whom post exhibition xray could not be obtained

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Neonates with optimal placements of endotracheal tube.Timepoint: an hour after intubation

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1. High placement of endotracheal tube 2. Low placement of endotracheal tube 3. Reintubation within 1 hour 4. Need for mechanical ventilation for more than 72 hours. 5. Pneumothorax or other air leak syndromes 6. Lung atelectasisTimepoint: Secondary outcome will be assessed after intubation
