Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Children of either sex belonging to age group 4 to 16 years irrespective of sex. 2.Children fulfilling the description of Karshya described in our texts like Sushka-sphik, Sushka-udara, Sushka-griva, Dhamani-jala-darshnam with poor weight gain, lean and thin body as per IAP (grade 1 & grade 2).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Age below 4 years and above 16 years. 2.Children having systemic disorders like TB, DM, Cardiac and renal problems. 3.Children having any congenital anomaly. 4.Children suffering from severe malnutrition as per IAP (grade 3 & grade 4). � Children having worm infestation.

1. To compare the effect of Matra basti of Ashwagandha ghrita and Ksheerbala taila in Karshya.Timepoint: Duration of treatment- 14 days Route of adminstration-anorectal Dose-1.2 ml per Kg Follow up- Follow up will be done fortnightly for 45 days Pt assessed on 0th,15th,30th,45th day

1.To collect literature of Karshya from Ayurveda and modern. 2.To evaluate the effect of Pathya-Apathya counselling in the management of Karshya Timepoint: Study will be stipulated time period i.e. within one year
