Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All consented preoperative cases of bladder tumors detected on ultrasound, CT or MRI imaging visiting AIIMS Bhubaneswar for further management.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: a. Patients who do not give consent. b. Patients unfit for surgery. c. Recurrent bladder tumors d. Patients who received prior intravesical therapy e. Tumors > 4 cm in size f. Tumors > 4 in number

To compare the incidence of thermal artifacts amongst Holmium Laser en-bloc Resection of Bladder Tumor and Bipolar Transurethral Resection of Bladder Tumor specimens.Timepoint: 2 weeks after surgery

To compare intraoperative clinical outcomes: operative time, irrigation volume, bladder perforation, obturator jerk amongst patients undergoing Holmium Laser en-bloc Resection of Bladder Tumor and Bipolar Transurethral Resection of Bladder TumorTimepoint: 2 weeks after surgery;To compare postoperative clinical outcomes: catheterization time, clot retention irritative symptoms amongst patients undergoing Holmium Laser en-bloc Resection of Bladder Tumor and Bipolar Transurethral Resection of Bladder Tumor.Timepoint: Immediately after surgery- first 1 week;To determine circumferential resection margin and deep resection margin negativity rate in Holmium Laser en-bloc Resection of Bladder Tumor specimens.Timepoint: 2 weeks after surgery;To determine detection rate of muscularis mucosa, muscularis propria and ability to sub stage T1 disease amongst Holmium Laser en-bloc Resection of Bladder Tumor and Bipolar Transurethral Resection of Bladder Tumor specimensTimepoint: 2 weeks after surgery
