Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: • Age group 20-40 yrs. • Subjects having CBCT- periapical score 4 & 5. ( Diameter of periapical radiolucency >4-8 mm & >8mm respectively ) . This new PAI score was based on CBCT (CBCT-PAI) and introduced in 2008 by Estrela et al.[17] • Failed re-RCT with persistent sign and symptoms of infection eg. Swelling, sinus, pus discharge etc. • Subjects requiring periapical root end surgery involving anterior teeth. • Subjects with sufficient motivation and capable of reporting back to the clinic for follow up visits.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: • Subjects diagnosed with diabetes mellitus or any systemic diseases which is likely to influence healing • Patients requiring re-apicoectomy. • Smokers and alcoholics. • Patients with bone disorders. • Patients with anomalies of blood and immune system. • Patients with malignant tumors and/ or on cancer therapy. • Pregnant females.
