Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All patients undergoing infraumblical surgeries in sree balaji medical college and hospital. 1) ASA grade 1 & 2

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Patient refusal 2) ASA grade 3 & 4 3) Patients with complications like severe anaemia, hypovolemia, septicemia, shock. 4) Known case of hypersensitivity reaction to Fentanyl or Dexmeditomidine and local anaesthetics. 5) Bleeding disorders or on anticoagulant therapy 6) Local infection at the site of puncture.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
1) Time of onset of sensory and motor blockade. Timepoint: 5 minutes 10 minutes and 20 minutes after procedure

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1) Duration of sensory and motor blockade. 2)Time of demand analgesia.Timepoint: Patient will be followed for 24 hours after procedure
