Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - no caries active individuals - no antibiotic use within 3 months - no smoking - no gingival and periodontal disease

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: -patients with extracted second premolar - patients with active caries - patients with systemic disease - patients with gingival and periodontal disease

The primary outcome is to evaluate the antibacterial effect of nanozinc in the acrylic baseplates of upper hawleys retainers on streptococcus mutans and lactobacillus acidophilus count in dental plaque collected from palatal surface of maxillary teeth.Timepoint: The time interval 1 week (T1) and Seven weeks (T2) after retainer insertion.—
