Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Healthy Subjects (Without any Systemic Diseases) with Bilaterally comparable periodontal defetcs. Pocket depth : 5-7mm Clinical attachment loss : More than 3mm

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: History of periodontal or antibiotic therapy in past 6 months. Any known disease or intake of any medication that affects periodontal status. Teeth with poor periodontal prognosis. Allergic to herbal medications. Aggressive periodontitis. Current Smokers and Alcoholics. Pregnant or Lactating females.

To evaluate the following clinical parameters at baseline and after 3 months of treatment: 1.Probing Pocket Depth(PPD) 2.Clinical Attachment Level(CAL) 3.Gingival Bleeding Index (GBI) 4.Plaque Index (PI)Timepoint: At baseline and after 3 months of treatment(12 weeks)

Primary outcome:To check the levels of subgingival Fusobacterium nucleatum at baseline and after 3 months of treatment. Sample Collection method:Subgingival Plaque samples will be collected before treatment and after 3 months of treatment using 30s sterile paper points and immediately transferred to buffer solution and stored in -80 degree celcius.Timepoint: At baseline and after 3 months of treatment (12weeks)
