Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) ASA 1 and ASA 2 patients requiring endotracheal intubation for surgeries under general anesthesia.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1)Patient refusal 2)History of difficult intubation 3)Body mass index > 40kg/m�² 4)Pregnant patients 5)Patients undergoing rapid sequence intubation 6)Patients with pre existing airway malformations or pathologies like goitre or cervical fractures or tumours or maxillofacial abnormalities

MeasureTime frame
To measure the distance between skin to epiglottis (DSE) and distance between skin to hyoid bone(DSHB) using ultrasonography versus conventional screening tools such as modified Mallampatti score and thyromental distance in the prediction of difficult laryngoscopyTimepoint: 5 minutes
