Intervention1: 50% glycolic acid peel: every 4 weeks for 12 weeks. total of 4 sessions Control Intervention1: oral tranexamic acid: oral tranexamic acid 250 mg twice a day for 12 weeks

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients willing to participate in the study. Patients of either sex with clinical features of melasma. Patients in the age group of 18-60 years.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients not willing to participate in the study. Pregnant or lactating females. Patients with bleeding disorders. Patients on anticoagulant therapy.
