Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients undergoing routine uneventful surgery for cataracts grade 2-3 (LOCS III) 2.Patients willing to participate in the study and come for follow up

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients with uncontrolled Diabetes (HbA1C >7gm/dl) 2.K/C/O IDDM or Juvenile DM 3.Patients receiving other drugs that could alter the blood glucose (systemic corticosteroids, hormone therapy, anti depressants etc.) 4.Known case of systemic disease that could influence the blood glucose (Acromegaly, Cushingâ??s syndrome, Pancreatic disorders) 5.Patient who have eventful surgery requiring administering of topical steroids more than the usual regimen 6.Patients with LOCS III > grade 4 cataracts
