Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Systemically healthy patients in the age of =18 years. 2) Tooth / teeth indicated for extraction and future prosthesis. 3) Good oral hygiene. 4) Tooth /teeth without labial bone defect. 5) Patients willing to participate with written informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Systemic conditions / diseases contraindicating surgical Tooth/Teeth removal and implant placement. 2) Patients using smokeless as well as smoking form of tobacco. 3) Patients taking bone sparing agents or systemic medication that might affect bone metabolism. 4) Tooth/Teeth having periodontitis. 5) Pregnant and lactating females.

MeasureTime frame
1. The width of buccal plate (horizontal dimensions) around implant at the crestal level, 3 mm and 6 mm from bone crest will be recorded on CBCT. 2. The distance between the implant shoulder and bone crest will be recorded as vertical dimensions on CBCT. 3. The gingival phenotype will be assessed with endodontic file on buccal surface of implant placed.Timepoint: Twice during the study period i.e. before extraction of tooth / teeth and implant placement (baseline), and 16 weeks post-operatively on CBCT
