Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients scheduled for elective unilateral Total Hip arthroplasty. (posterior approach) 2.ASA I and II including both the sex 3.Age group: 25 to 75 years.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.ASA III / IV 2.Refusal of the patient to participate in the study 3.Morbid obesity (BMI >= 40) 4.History of focal neurological deficit 5.Previous history of sensory or motor disorders in the limb to be operated on 6.History of allergy to local anesthetics 7.History of regular opioid use 8.Infection at puncture site for both approaches of block 9.Inability to understand the numerical rating scale (NRS ) 10.Inability to understand the use of Patient Controlled Analgesia (PCA) device
