Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Healthy subjects who have been newly inducted to High Altitude areas (heights in excess of 9000 ft) and who will further proceed to locations at heights of more than 15000 ft.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Presence of Systemic Hypertension, any history of Respiratory and Cardiovascular illness, obese individuals with BMI more than 30, smokers and subjects taking any medications other than the Pharmacological Intervention for the Study

To compare the effects of Calcium + Vitamin D Supplementation with a Placebo in subjects sojourning to high altitude after 03 TO 05 months.Timepoint: 03 To 05 months

MeasureTime frame
To estimate Vitamin D levels in the serum of subjects prior to induction to heights of more than 15000 ft and post de-induction after a period of stay for 3 to 5 months, to assess the Cardiovascular Autonomic Functions in the same group of subjects prior to induction to heights of more than 15000 ft and post de-induction after a period of stay for 3 to 5 months. Timepoint: 03 TO 05 months
