Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children should be less than 5 years old and they accompanied by their mother or caregiver and they intend to reside in the village for at least 6 months after enrollment in the trial

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Children more than 59 months old and if they receieved blood transfusion in 1 year and active infection or fever >101 �°F will be excluded from this trial.

The findings of the project would be useful to understand the prevalence of anemia and associated risk factors in the children of north-eastern part of Uttar Pradesh. The research findings can be apply in the development of community-based public health intervention to reduce the prevalence of anemia in children.Timepoint: 1 year
