Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: •Patients aged 18-30 years, with permanent dentition •Dentoalveolar protrusion or moderate crowding •Extraction of first premolars as a treatment plan •Periodontally sound dentition •Sound general health and not under any medication
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: •Orthognathic surgery as treatment plan •History of systemic illness (systemic illnesses primarily affecting the calcium metabolism, or any other due to which the patient might be on any medication which may alter the rate of tooth movement) •Previous history of orthodontic treatment

| On the models, the mesial cusp tip of first molar (R1) and the canine cusp tip (R2) will be taken as reference points. The distance between R1 and R2 will be measured on all two models for each patient by a digital calliper (AEROSPACE, China) accurate to +/- 0.02 mm.Timepoint: â?¢ T0 â??
