Intervention1: Mouthwash containing Ocimum Basilicum : To be used as a mouthwash 10ml twice daily, morning and night, 30 minutes after brushing, swish for a full 30 seconds total of 21 days in patient

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Healthy patients 18 45 years. 2.Minimum of 20 teeth should be present in the dentition. 3.Patient diagnosed with mild to moderate type of gingivitis. 4.Patient with bleeding on probing present, clinically. 5.Patient willing to give the informed consent and willing to comply with the study 6.Complete acceptance of the treatment regimen by the subject.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Participants with any other systemic diseases or pathological conditions requiring emergency treatment; 2.Participants with any history of allergy reactions to the herbal medicaments or chlorhexidine 3.Participants under other medications such as anti-inflammatory drugs, antibiotics, and steroids within the past 3 months; 4.Participants who receive any periodontal therapy for the past 6 months. 5.Immunocompromised patients 6.Using tobacco or tobacco-related products, 7.Inability to follow instructions
