Intervention1: NIL: NIL Intervention2: Ultra sound and laryngoscopy: Ultrasound assessment of airway examination and laryngoscopy to assess the Cormack Lehane grading followed by intubation.

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients of 18–70 years with the ASA Class I–IV underwent elective surgery requiring general anaesthesia with direct laryngoscopy (Macintosh blade) and endotracheal intubation

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Head and neck anatomical pathology 2.Small mouth opening 3.Limitation in head and neck flexion or extension 4.Previous history of failed and difficult intubation Pregnancy and a body mass index (BMI) of >39.9 kg/m2
