Intervention1: Topical Placentrex Gel (Albert David, India): 0.1g Placentrex Gel
twice daily topical application for 7 days, after laser depigmentation. (7 days) Control Intervention1: No drug applied: Only laser depigmentation, with no post-operative application

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. >18 years of age 2. Dummetâ??s Oral Pigmentation Index (DOPI) level: 1.5-3 3. Loeâ??s gingival index (GI) of 1 or less, and a plaque index (PI) of less than 10% 4. Patients with esthetic concern regarding smile 5. Absence of any systemic morbidities

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Severe periodontal disease 2. Current smokers 3. History of previous depigmentation procedures 4. Pathologic hyperpigmentation 5. Systemic disease that may affect wound healing (Diabetes)
