Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. People who meet Rome IV criteria for diagnosis of IBS 2. People who have an IBS-SSS score of >175 (Moderate to Severe symptoms) 3.People who give an informed consent to participate in this study
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Other GI diseases (inflammatory bowel disease, celiac disease, etc.) 2. Alarm symptoms (Unexplained weight loss, family history of bowel disease, Rectal bleeding/anaemia, fever, persistent daily diarrhoea, recurrent vomiting, nocturnal bowel motions, progressive/severe symptoms) 3. Patients already on restricted diet (e.g. LFD,gluten-free,lactose-free, and vegan diet) 4.Consumption of bowel preparation/antibiotics/probiotics in the previous 4 weeks 5. Change in IBS medication in previous 4 weeks 6. Addictions 7. Significant and psychiatric comorbidities
