Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age group 4-8 years 2. Children with grossly mutilated primary maxillary and mandibular first and second molar requiring extraction with fully erupted adjacent tooth 3. Children requiring only short band and loop space maintainer

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patient with systemic conditions contraindicating the band and loop appliance placement 2. Patient requiring more than two space maintainers 3. Non restorable tooth immediately adjacent to extraction space 4. Extremely crowded dentition
