Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Patients of either sex with age group of 18-30 years. 2) Bimaxillary protrusion or moderate crowding 3) Extraction of all 1st premolar as a treatment plan

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Patients with previous h/o orthodontic treatment 2) Patients with impacted canine 3) Patients with sign of gingival periodontal disease. 4) Patients with metabolic disorders that leads to bone pathologies.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Rate of orthodontic tooth movement to be studied by marking distance between cusp tip of maxillary canine(R1) and mesial cusp tip of first molar(R2) on the models. The distance will be measured by using Digital calliper.Timepoint: I) T0: at the start of canine retraction. II) T1: at 3 months after the start of canine retraction. III) T2: at the end of canine retraction.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate the effectiveness of Leukocyte-platelet rich fibrin on the bone dimension & density and severity of gingival invaginations at the extraction site.Timepoint: I) T0: at the start of canine retraction II) T2: at the end of canine retraction.
