Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.All patients with secondary thoracolumbar spine metastasis. 2.Patients assessed for spinal instability using Spinal Instability Neoplastic Score (SINS). 3.Patients with stable metastatic thoracolumbar spine having complaints of acute localised pain between thoracic (T3) to lumbar (L2) vertebrae. 4.Patients planned for 3 weekly chemotherapy cycle, treated with / without radiation therapy and/or receiving radiation therapy, treated with/without surgery for metastatic thoracolumbar vertebral lesion/lesions. 5.Patients having asymptomatic distant metastasis other than spine. 6.Patients who can follow up initially for two days physically in the Occupational Therapy department and every three weekly for next three months physically (during prescribed chemotherapy cycles, every 21 days)or telephonically. 7.Both male& female above 18 years of age
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Metastatic spinal lesions of cervical vertebrae (C1-C7), thoracic vertebrae (T1-T2), lumbar vertebrae (L3-L5) and sacral spine. 2.Metastatic spinal lesions requiring cervicothoracic brace, lumbar brace and lumbosacral brace. 3.Pathological spine fractures. 4.Patients with other complaints like Lymphedema associated with the disease 5.Spinal deformity. 6.Patients with prior psychiatric or cognitive impairments affecting their self-care activity. 7.Hearing problems which might affect/impair patientââ?¬•s ability to comprehend and understand therapistââ?¬•s instructions and guidance related to therapy/Home program. 8.Inability to read, and/or comprehend Hindi and or English.
