Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age >18 years 2. Patients admitted in ICU in whom both subcostal and transhepatic views of IVC and aorta are obtainable.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Refusal of consent by patient or relative. 2. Patients having clinical signs of respiratory distress (difficult to identify end expiration) 3. Patients having clinical signs of active expiration including active contraction of Accessory expiratory muscles like the abdominal respiratory muscles.
