Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. The patients between the age group 21-60 years 2. Patients having clinical features of Karnasrava (CSOM)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients not willing for trial and follow up 2. Patients having atticoantral type of perforation and total perforation 3. Patient having ear discharge associated with haemorrhage, impacted wax, cholesteatoma, associated with malignancy of ear. 4.Having other aural pathologies like otitis externa, furunculosis 5. Having uncontrolled systemic diseases with medications 6. CSOM associated with complications like adenoids, tonsillitis, labyrinthitis, acute mastoiditis

Changes in the clinical features of karnasrava(CSOM) SUBJECTIVE: 1.Karnasrava (discharge) 2.Karnabadhirya (hearing impairment) 3.Karnakandu (itching) 4.Karnashoola (earache) 5.Karnanaada (tinnitus) OBJECTIVE: Following objectives will be assessed before and after trial. 1.Otoscopy 2.Ear swab culture and sensitivity 3.Pure tone audiometry 4.Tuning fork test Timepoint: 15th,30th,45th,60th day

1.Changes in other signs and symptoms of Karnasrava i.e karnakandu, karnashoola, karnanaada, karnabadhirya. 2.Changes in haematological parameters. Timepoint: 15th,30th,45th,60th day
