Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Either gender, above 12 years, permanent and/or temporary residents of Udupi, Mangalore 2. Written informed consent (by legally acceptable representative for children)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Axillary temperature >37.50C at presentation or history of fever preceding 3 days 2. Antimalarial treatment during the last one month
