Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients aged between 18 years to 65 years of either sex, American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status I/II grade Body mass index (BMI) between 18-30 kg/m2 Patients undergoing robotic or laparoscopic pelvic surgeries with anticipated duration of >3 hours.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients not willing to participate in the study 2.Patients with significant cardiac, respiratory, renal, and hepatic disease 3.Patients requiring elective postoperative mechanical ventilation

| 1.To compare the intra operative and postoperative oxygenation (PaO2/FiO2 ratio, A-a DO2 and SpO2) between groups. 2.To compare the intra operative respiratory mechanics â?? Lung compliance (CL), Lung Elastance (EL), Plateau Pressure (PPLAT) and Peak Pressure (PPEAK) between groups. 3.To compare the intraoperative hemodynamic parameters - Mean Blood Pressure (MAP), Heart Rate (HR) and Pulse Pressure (PP) between groups. 4.To compare the adverse respiratory events post-operatively within 5 days â?? requirement of oxygen supplementation, any episodes of desaturation, respiratory failure between groups. Timepoint: final secondary outcome will be assessed in first 5 days of post-operative period. | — |
