Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Preeclamptic patient in age group of 18 - 50 years those who are on magnessium sulphate supplementation undergoing cesarean delivery under spinal anesthesia.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.NICE I category of cesarean delivery. 2. Abnormal placentation. 3. Cesarean delivery under general anesthesia.

MeasureTime frame
To compare the incidence of post spinal hypotension after prophylactic intravenous calcium administration in preeclamptic women receiving intravenous magnesium.Timepoint: Duriung the procedure after spinal anaesthesia (Baseline)

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To compare the effect of prophylactic intravenous calcium administration on post-partum blood loss in patient undergoing cesarean delivery under spinal anaesthesia. Blood loss is calculated after the suturing of uterus is completed. 2. To compare the effects of prophylactic intravenous calcium administration on composite of neonatal outcome, APGAR score 1 min and 5 min , NICU admission after the delivery of baby and umbilical arterial ph after the delivery of baby.Timepoint: Baseline
