Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: mentally challenged individuals having IQ ranging 50-70 (Acc. To Wechsier Intelligent Scale) Participants whose parents/care taker gives written informed consent Participants with a Plaque score of >=2 according to Silness and Loe Plaque Index(1964)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Participants with physical handicapped. Paricipants undergoing any fixed or removable orthodontic treatment

the result will evaluate the antiplaque efficacy of coconut oil swabbing as an adjunct to conventional tooth brushing using the Plaque Index and microbial analysis of S.mutans.Timepoint: outcome will assessed on 7 and 14 days
