Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patient will be admitted in AIIMS JODHPUR and operated by Department of Burns and plastic surgery for Complex lower limb defects requiring flap cover. 2. Required flap â?? up to 6 cm in the greatest dimension.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patient previously underwent local or regional flap for same or any other indication preclude both free and propeller flap. 2. Patient with any other local injury in same limb which preclude possibility of Propeller flap. 3. Patient not fit for prolonged anesthesia.

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To compare propeller and free flaps in reconstruction of complex lower limb defects with respect to function, aesthesis and psychosocial outcomes.Timepoint: follow up to be done 3 months and 6months .

1. To identify and compare factors in patients associated with complications in propeller and free flaps.Timepoint: day of surgery to 3months
