Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients posted for elective non-malignant abdominal surgery 2.Patients of age > 18 years of either gender belonging to ASA I,II &III class.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Patient refusal 2.Emergency surgery 3.Prolonged surgeries extending beyond 4 hours 4.Missing data on age, loss to follow-up 5.Pregnancy 6.General anesthesia given as rescue after failed spinal anesthesia

| Postoperative complications will be defined by Clavien Dindo Classification. Grade 1 and 2 will be considered as minor complications Grade 3, 4 and 5 will be considered as major complications. Timepoint: Our study will start from the immediate postoperative period until 30 days after surgery. Any complications from the immediate postoperative period until 1 month after surgery will be noted. Length of hospital stay will also be noted. After discharge from the hospital, the patients will be followed up telephonically for the duration of 30 days,twice in 15 days interval after surgery, to enquire about readmission due to any complication or mortality. | — |
