Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age of 18 and more than 18, irrespective of the gender Patients with chronic liver disease with high risk esophageal varices

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patient are already on beta blocker Extrahepatic portal vein obstruction Hepatocellular carcinoma Patients diagnosed with organ failure Pregnancy
