Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Age group between 40-90 years of either sex. 2. visual acuity for distance vision between 6/6 to 6/60 and for near vision N/6 to N/36 with glasses. 3. The patient presenting with signs and symptoms of ARMD (DRY TYPE) like Difficulty in day vision, Diminished vision, Distorted vision, Perception of black spots in the field of vision, Perception of flashes of light, Problem for adaptation with dim light, presence of macular drusens , focal hyperpigmentation , pale area of retinal pigment atrophy in retina will be included in the study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Age less than 40 years and more than 90 years. 2. visual acuity for distance vision less than 6/60 and for near vision more than N/36 with glasses 3. Contraindicated for Anjan Sama Avastha of Netra (Doshas associated with aam) ,Ghana Pichchila Srava ( Thick/dense , sliminess discharge ), Ati Kandu ( Excessive itching ),Swayathu ( Swelling ),Mlan Netrata (Tired eye) SYSTAMIC EXCLUSION: Chronic debilitating diseases like Renal disorder, Liver disorder, Hiv, Carcinoma . OPHTHALMIC EXCLUSION: Wet type of ARMD, Glaucoma ,Mature cataract ,Pan retinal degenerations ,Chronic conjunctivitis ,Keratoconjunctivitis ,Hypertensive retinopathy ,Diabetic retinopathy , Any type of ocular injury e.g. blunt trauma, including chemical injury
