Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients with head injury either sex,tracheostomized and admitted to ICU for mechanical ventilation will be enrolled in the study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients having Other associated injuries of limb, thorax or abdomen, requirement of FiO2 >.5 Respiratory disease such as COPD, bronchiectasis, emphysema, asthma Renal dysfunctions Cardiac disease Haemodynamic instability Obesity (BMI >30kg/m2) Brain stem injury Pregnancy/Lactation On ventilatory support for less than 48hrs or more than 7 days will not be included in the study
